Special Session on AI-Driven Algorithms and Applications for B5G/6G
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a key enabling technology for next-generation communication systems, driving significant advancements across science, engineering, and industry. Recent progress in algorithm design, optimization techniques, and computational intelligence has empowered AI to address increasingly complex and dynamic problems. From machine learning and deep learning to reinforcement learning and evolutionary computation, AI-driven methodologies are fundamentally transforming a wide range of application domains.
In particular, the evolution toward Beyond 5G (B5G) and 6G networks introduces unprecedented challenges, including ultra-low latency, massive connectivity, intelligent resource management, and autonomous network operation. These emerging systems demand highly adaptive, scalable, and efficient solutions capable of operating in complex and heterogeneous environments. AI is expected to play a pivotal role in enabling self-optimizing, context-aware, and intelligent wireless networks, thereby supporting next-generation services and applications.
Despite these promising developments, several critical challenges remain in the design and deployment of AI-enabled systems. Issues such as model generalization, computational complexity, data efficiency, robustness, interpretability, and real-time implementation continue to require innovative algorithmic solutions. These challenges are further amplified in B5G/6G networks, where stringent performance requirements and dynamic system conditions necessitate advanced learning and optimization frameworks.
The aim of this special session is to bring together researchers and practitioners to present cutting-edge contributions in AI-driven algorithms and their applications in B5G/6G systems. The session will provide a platform for exchanging ideas on novel methodologies, theoretical advances, and practical implementations that will shape the future of intelligent wireless communications.
